Component Communication in Managing the Clariion.
This diagram illustrates the communication paths between software components.
Internet Explorer generates the Navisphere UI. The Navisphere UI software can reside either on the management station or on the array. If Navisphere UI resides on the array then the array serves the UI to Internet Explorer. Otherwise the management station serves the UI to Internet Explorer.
There are now three different CLIs.
The “classic” Navisphere CLI communicated directly with the Array agent and Utilized a privileged user list to authenticate requests.
The newer Secure CLI and the Java-based CLI communicates with The Management Server and participate in the Navisphere security domain. Users of the newer CLI must be registered Navisphere users. The Navisphere communicates with the Management Server.
